The Cecil Charity awards grants to young persons under the age of 25 years, who either:
1. Reside and have resided for more than two years within a 10-mile radius of Lytchett Matravers Parish Church, BH16 6BS, OR
2. Attend an educational establishment within a 10-mile radius of Lytchett Matravers Parish Church, BH16 6BS, AND
3. Who are in need of financial support for their education, extra-curricular activities or living costs
Our aim is to support young people in need of financial assistance to achieve their potential.
Awards are made in the form of Scholarships, Bursaries, Maintenance Allowances or Grants for attendance at any secondary school, University or College of education. They may also be provided as a financial contribution to the cost of purchasing books, instruments, tools etc. or, upon leaving education, in preparation for or to enter a profession, trade or calling.
Grants are made to those whom the Trustees consider are in need of financial assistance, and are solely provided to support the purpose(s) outlined by the applicant on the application form
Grant applications may be made by Parents, Guardians etc. on behalf of the intended beneficiary. Alternatively, individuals, who are over the age of 18 years, may apply on their own behalf.
